Welcome to my website – a window into my world of textile conservation. I am a freelance textile conservator, based in the lovely Norfolk countryside, offering a national and international service. I conserve all manner of textiles, including woven tapestries, hangings, furnishing textiles, ecclesiastical textiles, embroideries and clothing, working both in studio and on site.
“Thank you very much for your patience, enthusiasm and teaching last Friday at Kedleston. I appreciated it very much and realised how lucky I was to have spent that time with you.”
– Mary, Volunteer, Kedleston Hall, National Trust
“Thank you so much for all your calm, patient, professional leadership on the Tapestry conservation here at Doddington. You have not only overseen the most fantastic work, you have also launched the careers of a whole generation of tapestry conservators! Thank you, with very best wishes, Claire”
– Claire Birch, Owner, Doddington Tapestry Project, Doddington Hall
“The team were absolutely amazed at the amount of care that has gone into conserving our pelmets. Thank you for doing such a lovely job on them and we can’t wait to have them back.”
